📋 Volunteer policies

1. Confidentiality agreement

All volunteers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding survivor information, case details, organizational strategies, and donor data encountered during service. Disclosure of such information without written authorization is grounds for immediate dismissal and may carry legal consequences.

2. Code of conduct

Volunteers are expected to uphold the highest standards of respectful, trauma-informed engagement. Discriminatory behavior, harassment, or any form of misconduct toward survivors, staff, or fellow volunteers will result in immediate removal from the program.

3. Mandatory reporting

Volunteers who become aware of ongoing human trafficking activity, child abuse, or imminent harm are obligated by Texas law to report this to the appropriate authorities. SNF staff will assist with reporting procedures.

4. Social media policy

No volunteer may post images, names, or identifying details of survivors on any platform. SNF-related posts must be approved in advance by the communications team. Unauthorized posts may result in dismissal.

5. Background check consent

All volunteers working directly with survivors or minors must consent to and pass a criminal background check prior to placement. SNF reserves the right to decline or reassign volunteers based on results.

6. Training requirements

All volunteers must complete SNF's mandatory orientation and trauma-informed care training before their first assignment. Additional role-specific trainings may be required.

7. Liability waiver

Volunteers participate voluntarily and acknowledge that Stop Now Foundation is not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss incurred during volunteer activities unless caused by SNF's direct negligence.

8. Termination of service

Either party may terminate the volunteer relationship at any time. SNF reserves the right to remove a volunteer for cause without prior notice if safety or organizational integrity is at risk.
